Responsible gambling
Gambling should be entertainment — a way to have fun, not a way to make money or solve financial problems. DBBet is for adults aged 18 and over only. This page explains how to stay in control and where to find help.
Play safely: the basics
- Set a budget before you play, and never bet money you can't afford to lose.
- Don't chase losses. Trying to win back what you've lost usually makes things worse.
- Set a time limit and take regular breaks.
- Don't play while angry, stressed, or under the influence of alcohol.
- Keep this money separate from rent, food, school fees, or bills.
- It's not income. Treat any win as a bonus, not a life plan.
Warning signs
Gambling may be becoming a problem if:
- You're spending more money or time than you intended.
- You're borrowing money or selling things to keep playing.
- You're lying to family or friends about how much you play.
- You feel anxious, guilty, or low after playing.
- You're playing to escape problems or recover losses.
If any of this sounds familiar, it may be time to take a break or ask for help.
Protecting under-18s
It is illegal for anyone under 18 to gamble. If children can access your phone or device, use your device's parental controls and never leave your account logged in. Keep your password and mobile-money PIN private.
Where to get help
Somalia does not currently have a dedicated national problem-gambling helpline. If gambling is affecting you or someone you know, these genuine international organizations offer real support:
- Gamblers Anonymous — gamblersanonymous.org. International peer-support groups, with a directory of international meetings.
- Gambling Therapy — gamblingtherapy.org. Free international online support, multiple languages, no phone required.
- FindAHelpline — findahelpline.com. Find a helpline in your own country if you need broader mental-health support.
18+ only. Gambling can be addictive. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact emergency services right away.
